Mister Michael, a graduate and life long resident in the Western Panhandle of Nebraska, has been a Cowboy Chaplain since 2003 after sustaining a severe injury in a train accident that caused his neck to snap, partially paralyzing him from the neck down and causing him to flatline several times. Mister Michael feels that God gave him a second chance to come back and help people.
Mister Michael had to be rehabilitated to learn how to walk, talk and learn how to breathe without the use of a machine to assist him. Michael also sustained a brain injury and had to relearn such things as skills needed in relationships in areas of reasoning, judgement and coping skills for life and the changes that it makes in our lives.
Mister Michael has trained under the supervision of several therapists and doctors and has gone through many years of learning under the direction of several pastors. This training has made it possible for Michael to become a life coach while learning advanced skills in horsemanship and maturing as a Christian.
Some of the same techniques used in horsemanship are also used in relationships with God and others with such things as faith, trust and commitment. Michael has owned and operated a Christian ranch and retreat center until a flood destroyed the ministry facilities. Michael decided to take the ministry to the people.
Mister Michael does this through his spiritual horseshow demos and through his horse camps that he holds at the YMCA camp grounds.
